Best Fighter Series

well there are just so many of them. the fighting gener has come a long way since the early days of Kung Fu on the nintento 8 bit console.

i tried to get in as many options as possible. my favourite is Soul Calibur. whats yours?

*EDIT* this is a multiple choice poll. incase you have a problem chosing just one

Guilty Gear X is great. Nice fluid 2D sprites and killer heavy metal music.

I thinl Mortal is kind of a classic fighter series game, since MK trylogy wow those graphics and attactks where awsome in that time.

This is pretty good but I think you should split up between 2D and 3D fighters.

You really shouldn't compare 2D and 3D their just far too dissimilar.

And that way you have more room for game tittles.

(I like the King of Fighters Series alot )

Soul Edge/Blade/Calibur here.
As for Mortal Kombat, when did it become a good fighting game ?

mk trilogy was always great. not some easy game like soul edge, where almost all characters have similar button combinations... but i like soul edge though. mk4 was not what i've expected. but mk5 is great and mk6 looks to be superb. so it IS great

Well, I liked the cruelty of mortal kombat... But I'm not really in to fighting games, I get bored quickly to them...

MK ain't cruel, it is just that it was designed so that when you hit an enemy (even if it's a scratch) rivers of blood will be spilled.

Indeed, the fatalities of the first MK were acceptable... from then on were hilarious on an absurd fashion...

yeah if you thought they were wierd you should have seen the "friendship" and "animality" animations in MK2 and MK3 respectively.

Animalities ? Sounds kinky... oh wait, I'd rather not think about it...
