So Megaman X6 wasn't suppose to exist. That explains the messed up storyline in the X series.

Honestly, I don't think it matters. The X series is the flagship Megaman series now. It is even failing and falling fast to the Battle network games. In alll of it, while megaman is a great series, or once was. The fact that Megaman 9 is not Rockman Frote, means jack. The story will forever be stuck in the X age. Where a storyline that would have ended nicely was ripped apart due to bad direction. |

Has anyone had the misfortune of playing Megaman Network Transmission? I can't believe I bought that piece of ****. I'm starting to think that Dr Light is Santa Clause. Seriously he has setup something in the midst 1 billion capsules on 1 planet, conveniently in time for the next game...

Megaman games (imo) ran out of gas after mega man X1. With a exception of Mega Man Legends 1 & 2 (which I have not played), all of the games are the same. Period. Haven't really added anything "new" other than a couple pathetic characters. Though that battle game does sound... interesting. The NES games are a real blast to go through once in a while, though. ![]() - Modem

To put it bluntly... who cares about Mega Man and Bass not being Mega Man 9 ? The game continues the events of Mega Man 8 so it might as well be considered the sequel. Call it as you wish the point remains the same... a new Mega Man game would suck for the sole purpose that the franchise was wasted a long time ago; up to X3 the saga was good, X4 and X5 were ok, from then on... |

I believe what he was trying to say was. The original director of the X series (sorry forgot names will find, if you like). Had done something for X5. *spoilers, but not big ones* In x5, Zero sticks himself in a pod. That will put him to sleep. Only to be awaken in dire need. * That was done to setup for Rockman Zero. Well, the new director came aboard and just screwed everything up with the return of Zero in X6. The original x6 was to go in a completely different direction. Telling the story of what happen to the original cast of the megaman series. Instead Capcom, didn't think fans would be pleased with Zero missing and having a story as that. So..we get more battle network games and the X series sinking to..well obscurity. Yes, I did play network transmission as well. It was horrid. I had high hopes for it to. Megman use to be nintendo's boy, then he grewup to be a drug dealer on the street. |
