how do I make my chocobo fly in ff9?

Hey I just got a golden chocobo in ff9 and was wondering how do I make it fly up into the sky? like I try pressing all the buttons and it does the same things as it did before (circle: dismount, x: enter triangle:menu and square:dig) what do I do? plz help!

Just go to a forest and then press whatever button (i dont remember exactly). You have to be in a forest in the map.

Go to any forest area, press circle.

If you're talking about the Chocobo sky garden (where Ozmo is found), you'll have to look for a small round shadow on the world map. The shadow will be located in one of several places... just be on the lookout for a suspicious, round shadow when flying across the world map.

press "X" at any forest .
but orst u should learn the fly ability using chocobographs

Japanese versions oft switch the X and O functions. Maybe they changed thier key config, or maybe it's like Samor said, I mean when I use the keyboard, my O is X

Opps my mistake. But did it ever occur to you to try pressing a different button when in the forest?
