I would have to say FF8 I also thought Gran Turismo 3 was cool. But mostly when it showed te 'real time' car scenes.

Hey, the FMV was high quality too. It wasn't loaded up with compression artifacts like GTA:VC's main intro part.

i agree with Elly, alot. Xenogears had a very cool ending. The first time through, I didn't get what was going on in that fmv. Other, than I felt sorry for the captain of the ship.

I have alot of these too, so I won't throw alot out. Here's a few.

Wild Arms 1 & 2's fmv intro's.
Persona 2's.

FF 6 (the music and the mode 7, when i saw that i never let it go until i finished)
FF8 (its curious how almost everyone in these forums despise this title but consider it to have the best intro)
Chrono Cross (and then, the games become terrible)
Mgs 1 and 2

Xenogears makes you want to play it but you dont know what is all about until you almost finish the game.

What I often miss in PC games (an exception is for example NFSU) is that the whole presentation of the game (including intro's) are generally dull compared to console games; those often have more flashy/cool intro's that make you want to play, whereas in PC games it's usually ...duh. a title page with a mouse arrow.
the game I've been playing a lot lately (LFS) is good but it has a horrible presentation.

many games (rpg) leaves ya talking for hours before the action begins .
ff5/ff8 are great examples
