Lightbulb FFT Fans?

(reposting from diff forum)
I don't know about you guys but playing Final Fantasy Tactics on epsxe gave me a far-but-realistic idea for a game, Like making multiplayer tactics so ppl can fight their teams against each other, you'd have to do some serious digging into the game files, and be a big tactics fan, but it would be great, have a single player story mode and than have a multiplayer challenge list. Any ideas?

It may not be through ePSXe but a true fan and some good programmers could sorta remake game with some time and sweat put into it, eh?

I used to think it would be a cool idea if you could take your RPG parties (like from FF7) into battle against each other...but you'd have to write a totally separate game to do it....

if the whole game was based on multiplayer, it would suck, but it would be pretty interesting to have a pokemon stadium style combat deal. You'd play the single player rpg like normal, but you'd play through a seperate game where you can load a save from the normal game, and use it to play others with. Don't expect this to happen, though, such a program could be fairly complex, and expect legal issues from square-enix...

I believe that all the VBA emulators doesn't have network support.

There's a technical challenge that can't be overcome yet.

It's not technicaly viable, as has been iterated elsewhere. The link cable is high speed, extremely low latency on the GBA. It's not like previous link cables.

Hmm i dunno about network support but you can play with a friend. not one on one but co-op. i.e instead of fighting friends ull be teaming up with another dude via link cable and taking on a common comp controlled enemy.

There are three items which you can only get in this mode

1. Knight Sword called the Sequence. [Cooperation Mode]
2. Rod called the Sapere Aude.[Competition Mode]
3. Hat called the Acacia Hat.[Clear Bonus Mode]

hope this clears things up. you might also wanna check out Devin Morgan's FFTA faq. It has an entire section on Link Support for this game. you'll find it at www.gamefaqs.com

all you have to do is paint the battle field on a picture, send it to friend, friend reads it over and paints it back with his next move, and so on, its so easy. (i heard USPS were big fans and they'd help deliver pictures quickly!)
