The best game ending ever
Well , endings of games must be great to satisfy us gamers . for me i have some favourites , but i can't say which's the best . Final Fantasy 6 Snes ending would have been the best but for the sad ending for shadow (may be Square will make him appear again like Gilgamesh) . Final Fantasy 7 was one of the best too , specially the last 10 seconds before credits  . Resident Evil 2 had a good one too (when u finish the 2 scenarios) . For fighting games , i should say that "King of fighters 97" endings of the "three sacred treasures" and "Esaka team" - when u finish Orochi with Kyo - were great too .so what's ur favourite games endings ?!

My favourite game endings are: Final Fantasy IX Max Payne 2 (Both are good.) Final Fantasy VII

Xenosaga ep1, because it really treated you to amazing cutscene with flashyness and tenseness and anything else i can put the postfix 'ness' on Also, Halo's ending if you count the last level was good and some epicy stuff And warcraft 3, that was a nice little treat to see |

Final Fantasy X's ending was superbly crafted. I really enjoyed that, and was also deeply sadenned by it, even though I knew what was going to happen. Xenogears had a little WTF? ending. It was alright, but not fantastic. The game itself is what makes that game. FF7's ending was allright not superb tho. FF8's ending was about the only good thing about that game. FF9 was far too obvious and had little effect on me FF6's was good, but obviously with the advent of FMV, it looks a little lacking next to later games. FFX-2's ending was quite poor up till the point of the extra ending. Chrono Cross' ending was average, but I did like the finale music (Radical Dreamers ~ Without Taking the Jewel) After much thought, I'd probably agree with Flare and go with FFX on this

Mafia has an unexpected yet execlent ending The one in Conker's Bad Fur Day makes me say WTF??? FF7 has a great yet enigmatic ending FFX has one of my fravourite ending My favorouite ending has to be Halo |

I can't believe no one has mentioned Chrono Trigger's endings yet.  I mean it had 11 or so endings so there's bound to be one or more you like

Mafia definately has my favorite ending ever. They are making a Mafia 2 but i really don't know how they are gonna pull that off with the ending givin in Mafia...oh well... I also enjoyed the boss fight in Alice but i can't really remember what happened after that

/slaps everyone in this thread,..where did Xenogears ending go ? =| Other than that : - Phantasy Star 4 - Parasite Eve I ( second ending ) - Conker Bad Fur day ( nothing special, but held a great moral ) - Final Fantasy 8 , pretty much the best thing this game had as Kane said - Legend of Zelda OoT ( for the sake of fairness, the ending was well made too ) Yours, -Elly

I liked Kingdom Hearts ending (even though the game froze on me before saving after the final 2 hour boss fighting  ). Mickey and Riku save the day, with alot of nice music, scenes, and leaving it open for the sequal, it was a good ending I think

hmm.. best game endings Fianl Fantasy IX (Melodies of Life) Baldurs Gate : Throne of Bhaal (kinda nice to see the "book" finally colsing) Warcraft 3 : The Frozen Throne (Arthas rules !!!  )Tenchu 2 (Tatsumaru's ending. awesome game, awesome finale) you should have made a thread on games with crappy endings as there are so many of those
