BattleField 2!

I cant wait!

That's a tentative title, of course. The game isn't a direct follow-up to Battlefield 1942 or Battlefield: Vietnam. Instead, it jumps forward to the world of modern warfare. The sequel will feature the latest in modern small arms, heavy weapons, and fighting vehicles -- M-4 carbines with IR scopes; M-60 machineguns with steadying bipods; M-1 tanks with reactive countermeasures; and of course, much more.

Hmh, and again ...no future like setting. Too bad, controlling mech instead of tanks would be very interesting.

We won't see mech's in an official Battlefield game until there's a battlefield out there in the real world w/ mechs fighting on it .

Well, I shouldn't say never, but its highly unlikely given that they take the information for hte maps from true battles.

Battlefield 1942 was alright except i had already played so many WW2 games i pretty much shoved it off because it was quite frankly getting old. Battlefield Vietnam was more of a mod than a whole new game took no significant steps (except the soundtrck) that doesn't do it for me. especially with a game i didn't enjoy in the first place. Why exactly do we need a modern day shooter with vehicles when we can just wait for Americas Army to release its version with vehicles for free? I'm more waiting for star wars battlefront. but thats just me, the star wars nut

Ug, AA was boring as it wasnt pickup and go. You had to go through every bloody school, and then being a newbie I was thrown into the stockade because I killed a teammate, and didnt know what I was doing. So after running around in there for 5mins I had enough of that.

This is one game I am looking forward to.

eh..the training took me about an hour and it was worth it for such a good game. They were just trying to add realism to it and if you want you only really have to take like 1 training mission in order to start playing online. Just if you want to play certain missions you have to take certain types of training. Quite frankly i think an hour of training to play a game for free beats paying 50 bucks for a game with the same premise and no training...but then again the game isn't out yet so i can't really go any farther than that...

plus the training should help you out atleast a bit, it teches you that this is not a stupid counter-strike-esque game where you just shoot everywhere and everything hits... you have to aim well, use strategy, be able to co-ordinate yourself with your team

and the parachute training is useful too...or else you'll end up like me...smacking the ground @ mach 3 while the rest of your team advances the enemy

Shooting expert was harder than the actual sniper class...... Too bad AA is full of CHEATERS with no miss hacks, or at least it was the last time I played.

Well, it only takes one out of every 30 players cheating to ruin almost every game you play....

i dont think its even that high
first off they have like the highest amount of security to ensure it doesnt happen, second when they catch people they ban them, third, i dunno that many people who wanna mess with the army

Cheating in the game isnt messing with the army.... They do ban them, if they catch them but they just have to make a new account and go through training again... which would be easy with a no miss hack.

Even if only 1 out of 100 was cheating that still ruins many games.
