I don't think you can really compare the two games. They're quite different from eachother, though they are made by the same company. Both are excellent games, and I go (and own) through them both a few times a year on the snes... but... I just don't think they can be compared, plus, they were made several years appart, so technology was a little more advanced for CT than FF6. Just my 2 cents.

...And again it comes to personal preference and what kind of expirience you had with one gam and the other.
So its not really a "vs." thread... More of a "How many people like this, compared to how many like this"... Go CT.

I'll go for CT, good story, great gameplay and great characters... FF6 can be a little bit boring sometimes... but I still own the PSONE version...

I much prefered Final Fantasy 6 over Chrono Trigger. Chrono Trigger's interface was more annoying when you had to use techs and had to scroll through loads of crap. FF6 had this too with the magic menus in battle but to a much lesser extent.

Yeah it isn't the most beatiful game out there but I think it was better than FF6... you don't get bored to death while playing... besides I don't remember any scrap that would have irritated me...

Werent Crono a mute? (kinda nice idea. I dont remember seeing many games which main character is literally unable to speak)

Never before has an RPG come as close to defining the story as well as CT did. FFVI was highly overrated in my opinion, I just see it as another FF game. It was good, but it's not the messiah everyone makes it out to be.
