Talking Swindled a K-Mart Employee

I was at K-mart earlier since I had gotten some Valentine's money to blow, and I saw a HUGE pile of the latest Zelda promotional disc (OoT, MM, Zelda 1, Zelda 2, 20 Min. Wind Waker Kiosk, Zelda Retrospective, WW video), so I asked the clerk how much could I buy one for. She said that since it said "not for resale" on the box, she'd give me one for free! I was so happy, I got 4 free games! Zelda, nonetheless! (the Zelda Anthem sounds so good on my Cheapo Receiver & Kenwood 4.1 speakers). :guitar:

Hi all. cooliscool I would that you are quite fortunate to have got such a nice bargin. But I would not call it swindling really. To swindle someone means that you stole from them or that you cheated them in some way. Since you neither cheated nor stole the disk and in fact even offered to buy the disk, I would say that nothing was done wrong. You offered to buy it the employee said no and then gave it to you free. No swindling at all. Just being in the right place at the right time. Congratulations.

heh, nice swindling, especially since you can get this for free if you send them 4 UPC labels of GC games

but it's still quite awesome anyway

Heh, you're right. It's just that "swindle" and "k-mart" sound so good together, ya know?

hushy: I don't have 4 GC games.. I got 6 stolen a while back and I still haven't recovered.

I don't see how that's swindling... I mean, she swindled herself, not you swindled her. Anyway, it's pretty sweet nevertheless.

I don't think you get the bonus with any 4 GC games... I think only with certain ones. I got mine included with my GameCube over this holiday season (is that promotion still going on?).

I was pretty disappointed by the "retrospective". I thought maybe they'd have information or interviews or at least show stories or something about the Zelda games. Nope. All the retrospective shows is like 30 seconds of gameplay from each of the Zelda games. I was also surprised (and puzzled) by the fact that they didn't put Link to the Past on the disc. Oh well, a cool bonus nonetheless

if nintendo put zelda ALTTP on this disc they could be doing themselves out of sales, as it is a current GBA title.

im sorry, that really sucks....

well, you can always do what one of my friends did: went to blockbuster, rented a couple games, and took the UPC's out of those manuals

You only need to register three things to receive the Zelda Colelctors Disk. Well at least thats what they and thats what I did. You just need to create an account at MyNintendo and register your GameCube (with the serial number under) with 2 games. You can only register a few games like Mario KArt, 1080 Snowboarding, Mario & Luigi ...and 2 other games IIRC

Aniway, have fun cooliscool! Im enjoying this disk alot (Zelda II is so fun )

I work at k-mart and they wouldn't even let me have one, they said they were to be given out with the next batch of gamecubes, even though they didn't have the "comes with zelda bonous disk" on then.....I hate working there....

i have registered a gamecube, a GBA-SP & Zelda WW, and i'm not even half way to enough points for the Zelda collecters edition 1,000 for GC, 500 for GBA-SP, 250 per game (Zelda WW), 200 for joining, and 5 per day for visiting the site, Zelda WW is 4,500 stars and they are sold out! (i have 1,960 stars so far, but i would get 250 for each new member who joins through me) i think i have an idea for a new sig!

but the Zelda Colelctors disk doesnt work with points or anything...you need specific games registered to get it. When you buy Mario Kart for exemple, where the little booklet is, there is a code especially put there for that. If you know someone that works at a video location store, then you could ask him for those codes

i wish i did know someone who works at a games store, but i don't, nintendo have it listed at their site at 4,500 stars, and i have less than 2,000, as 3 Zelda games reside in my top 5 games of all time, i would love to have this disc! but i don't know which games to register to get this disc for free.

I feel your pain. I had my GBA and 17 games robbed last summer. I've managed to get that back up to a GBA & 3 games but can't seem to throw my all into it anymore. My spirit was stolen too, I guess...
