Mouse doesn't work direct anymore

When I played Quake II some mounths ago everything was fine. I configurated pads in Delta frontend like this:

1. Normal pad
2. Mouse

No problems! Mouse worked always from beginning.

Now, after I erased my HD and installed everything again every time I play Quake II with the same settings I have to press (If I remember it correctly) F5 F5 F6 F5 F6-combination and mouse is working properly again. This is not a bad problem, but do you know how to correct this?
