It seems that way, though I AM STILL DOWNLOADING...
Change some guns, add some vehicles, and put in some modes(that there are already mods to make UT2k3 have these modes).
Bah. I dont particularly want vehcles int UT. Halo suits me for that.

Assault mode is really cool, I just can't wait to see fan-made maps for this game mode Onslaught is pretty confusing but the vehicles are pretty cool.

Well, let me put it this way. The graphics well not a complete overhaul. Have a major omptimization for all graphic cards. With the demo you can only have normal settings, but when the final version comes out you will see the difference. Secondly, the net code's been really tweaked to something that nothing like the Ut2k3's. This is why they recently announced it would not be compatible.

I think the game is like one big patch. Except, evreything couldn't fit in a patch. I think it's cool. Plus, for those people who want to. Stop by the atari forums. They have forums setup for the demo, and Atari is asking for feeback. To add, subtract, or just plain change things for the final release if enough people ask. Take a good look. I think that's great customer service there. I'm also biased..so..

On the whole I liked it. It does seem more like an expansion pac than anyhtingelse. Some of the modes have been tweaked and are just plain crazy.
I really dont like the weapon design though.

i got it in 15 minutes thanks to a torrent (300kb/s throughout)

Anyways, it's a pretty fun game. Definitely not anything revolutionary has been brought to the FPS table here, as was to be predicted. But if you liked UT2k3, you'll just simply like UT2k4 a bit more. If you're a UT fanatic, or haven't bought ut2k3 yet, you'll probably want to pick up ut2k4, but if you dont apply, you'll be content with ut2k3 enough to wait until a price drop.

well, if you liked the original UT but didnt like UT2k3 nearly as much, then UT2k4 will be just as disappointing, it's barely different, the graphics changed very little, and arent at all as big of a jump from ut -> ut2k3
