Shadows Return in SH

Im pretty sure by now almost alot of you has played Sonic Heroes on either of the 3 platforms. So I wondering, was the PS2 port good enough to play or was it just plainly bad? And another thing since shadow returned in SH what were your reactions and thoughts about how they told you how he "came back"? And what did all think of this Sonic Games Final Boss and Music? Also, how did you feel to relive the Special Stages to get the chaos emeralds all over again to gain the last boss?
