Sacred -> Diablo III?

Hey,

I think this game deserves a little bit more attention outside of europe. Sacred is a hack'n slay RPG much like Diablo and it features 6 Characters:

● Gladiator ● Seraphime

●High-elf ●Dark-elf

●Battle Mage ●Vampire Lady

Furthermore: 3D Characters on 2D backgrounds, Combo attacks, horse riding, a online mode and great item management. I heared that a demo was released at some bad bad filesharing networks, which chrashed in like a Suprnova, take a look! ;)

Quite similar to Diablo in several aspects I saw. For example, anyone think the creature in screen shot #1 looks familiar? Then I think the vampire class can summon wolfs (druid, anyone? Looks very promising. Thanks for the info.

edit: btw, the dragon looks just plain awesome

in these types of games, i actually prefer 2d to 3d. Give me hand drawn sprites and worlds any time over polygonal worlds. It fits the usually dark moods better.

Not really, Record of Lodoss War for the DC features 3D environments and the game looks superb... it's all a matter of how they implement the stuff.
As for this game, it looks good, but I doubt that it will make it to Argentina

Well, I prefer 2D since my rig wouldn't handle full 3D anyway ;) But it looks very sweet nethertheless. The world is richly designed, the characters are very detailed and the gameplay is addictive (as far as I come). I played till the end of the demo ... which was BTW quite funny. A text screen appeared: "Your time has come, but soon you shall return from the dead" and a big berserker spawned right beside me and beat me out of the demo.

The only problem is the zoom. The first one is too far away so that the frames get choppy, the secound one is too close, and the last one serves the only purpose to watch the Serathimes bouncing butt I guess. Its still beta software, so I hope they will fix that.

Surprisingly they put a lot of effort in to the voice acting. There are the german voices of Bruce Willis as the Gladiator and Diana Skully as the Vampire Lady. But I bet they won't get the US ones, understandably.

I'm really looking forward to this one, let's just hope they don't delay it short-dated.

Hm, I thought I already removed all the links. Thx then. And for the name, as I said, this game deserves more attention. Not a bad act IMO.

Indeed, it was one of the first RPGs released for the DC. It was a dungeon crawler, but different from games like Diablo, featuring a great plot. The game involved familiar characters from the series and tied some loosen knots... definitely a great game.

BTW, it's Kaiser Sigma, not Kane Sigma...
