Angry EA Games Startup's

It seems like a trend for any EA Games to have a pissload of startup movies and logo screens that you cant bypass. After paying for a game like Generals, I dont want to have to wait 5 hours just to get to the main menu!

Is anyone else angry about this, as it seems with every release it just gets longer and longer. :cuss2:

Haven't played any new EA games but I did try the NFSU demo and you are right, it took like ten minutes to get to the main menu with screens that could not be bypassed.

I do get annoyed with the amount of logo screens and such whenever I load up the NFS:U demo but I haven't played any other EA games lately.

for battlefeild i use the "+restart 1" command

example:
"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\BF1942.exe" +restart 1

i don't know if it would work for other games. cuz it never worked for any other ea games that i have

THX isn't as 'hard' as it used to be to get. If Logitech can get it on their stuff, anyone can. THX 'certified' systems are all over the place now, and not that much more (or better) then the non THX counterparts.

Hmm... in both Madden and NBA Live 2004 you can skip all the intros and stuff by hitting space (or a button on the gamepad) as soon as they start to load. The EA logo still shows before that, but the game is actually loading at that point, so that doesn't really matter.

As fo actually learning german...My chool is already making me learn spanish. so I would be quadlingual if I learned German too. Naah.

I have no problems skipping the intro in NFSU... so i don't know what you guys are talking about. You just have to hit a button like space bar, enter or esc, I can't remember though which one i did!

Geez heh, some of you are awfully anal about 4 seconds of your time. Is it really such a big deal to hit a button?

that sounds like pogo games to me, if you play the online games for free there are loads of adverts, but pay a subscription and the ads are removed (you also get a crappy little pic next to your nic) this site is also EA! and allmost all the ads are for there games! even if its free EA just cant resist trying to pry more $/£'s from you!
