Pcenginefx.com has been around (in one form or another) for almost a decade, supporting the NEC line of consoles with news, features and original content. I’m now sorry to say that I must close the site down (for now) due to web host space issues. Pcenginefx.com utilizes over 1.3GB of web space and I’ve been lucky that my web host has allowed me to use this much space for so long.

So what’s next for the site? The plan this year is to convert the PC-FX & Turbo sections into database form. This will shrink the site down considerably, as well as allowing me to update sections more easily. More focus will be given to making the PC-FX and Turbo sections as complete as possible, and less reporting of news and features (becoming more of a static online resource).

Unfortunately, most if not all of the videos and music will be removed from all sections to fit the site into a more reasonable hosting package.

Time wise, there is a lot going on currently in my life, so work on the site isn’t a priority at the moment. I’d have to say that the site probably won’t reopen until late summer, if that. If this estimate changes, I will update this page accordingly.

Lastly, my email address, message boards and email update list will still be running during this downtime (see links below).

I knew this day would come, and it has. I am sorry that I have to close the site down but don’t worry too much about it - Pcenginefx will be back again in the near future.
