Thinking........

Well, PCSX2 progress is going great atm...(so is GSmax's..optimizing stuff for more speed). I was wondering if it would be a nice idea to start a side-by-side PC game development ( Action/Adventure genre ( PoP : Sand Of Times etc type ) )...do give your comments & ideas on this idea, and if possible post your comments on what the storyline & gameplay should be.

Note: This is only a small 3d game production idea...nothing official yet & yes, pcsx2 progress well not be affected

This will be a great experience, and i'd be more than glad to help in whichever way i can

No offense asadr, I think you're a great guy and all, but this should really go in a different board.

Edit : I forgot to mention that I think this would be a wonderful idea.

Sounds like a great idea. As far as storyline i dunno, but an action game would definately be cool.

Maybe you could go for an everyday genre(platformer, FPS, etc.), but spice it up a bit with some new elements(Like what PoP did).

Erm I'm not wanting to put you off or anything, but this was attempted before here and collapsed due to overhype (ie everyone wanted to be in said game and noone wanted to contribute beyond suggestions for their own charactors). Whilst I have no doupt that you could pull off such a project, I just felt it would be better mentioning this before you started (assuming you do of course ), just in case.

I'd say go for it. PoP Sands of Time was too easy for me but if you create a game that is harder with the same richness of POP SoT than definately make it.. Most of all Good Luck and I hope you have money for this project that you are going into.

Good Luck

Asad, Its a great idea.. but what about mixing IndianJones and/or TombRaider games within the POP idea .. it will really look great as both Indy and lara croft have cool hand-to-hand fight moves.. think about my idea .. it looks difficult and confusing though .. - Abbas
