Guys I really need your help. I need to find the second set of the four ciphers to unlock the second gate in the cave. The problem is I made the foolish mistake of asking the lady in the shop for rare items and now she tells me she sold it off. I cant seem to find the guy who has the besaid key. Ive looked almost everywhere up and down but cant seem to find the guy. Can someone please tell me how to look for the guy, if thats not possible cant someone please tell me the second set cipher codes please. I've completed all the missin in the first chapter and only the besaid mission is left because of it can anyone lend a hand please.

That mission has nothing to do with the Besaid key

You need four numbers. Do you want me to tell you where they are?

the problem is that you cant find the four number until u dont have the search sphere. I cant get the SS unless I have the besaid key to unlock it. Now do you get what the problem is . I need the code for the second set of ciphers so I can unlock the gate within the cave or if someone could tell me the location of the traveller so I can beat the crap out of him and get the key :P

Dude, I didn't use any search sphere or the like.

For Eg:
If you have played FFX, you must remember the place where ppl should pray before leaving the island. its a hill where Yuna saw the

tidus or whoever that was

sphere with Lulu. Right at the small place where you prayed, go and press action there. you'll get a number. Talk to various ppl to understand where the other numbers are and what's their location.

Believe me, I didn't use and search sphere. You might wanna try out Gamefaqs....

Sighhhh. Thanks mate, but I think your not very thorough with the game are you??l. For some reason your missing out on some words in my previous post. I said I require the code for the SECOND SET OF CIPHERS. I repeat <b>SECOND SET OF CIPHERS</B>. That means I allready have the first set of Ciphers. I WANT The second set of ciphers and I hate going through gamefaq once I get a a walkthrough I can't stop readin it. So its better I not. Anyways thanks for your help. Anyone else who might be able to lend me some assistance, allthough its no use then again I got tired and went to the second chapter. Dam.

I am looking for that,you need to visit the calm lands and rescue everyone in there then have a hard battle(belive me I have 3 LVL 40 characters and still got whopped 6 times before I barely won) to get the key for the chest the search sphere is in and read the instructions

Great. Thanks for the help. Right now I'm stuck at calibrating the lightning towers. Manages to do 6 the remaining 4 are irritatingly impossible to do. I've always wind up at 29 misses or 27 and feel so ooooooooooohhhh mad. Just wondering though do u get anything worthwhile if u do all of em I mean you have to The amount of time you have to devote to em and the frustation it costs it might as well let us see the special ending :P. Anyways thanks once again.

I hope that the lightning towers don't have any effect on the main storyline. This is just getting interesting.....

By the way, for anyone who is playing; At which point are you ppl?

Well I prefer levelling up my characters and go to the tinest bit of detail as possible. Go to every plact at eacy chapter talk to everyone again, sometimes it gives a lot of extra info to some side missions and all. One thing if your having trouble trying to get rid of Oaka's debt. You could try this method.Im at the end of chapter two well almost and I managed to take care of 50000 of his debt the remaining 50000 are going to be hard. Or you could do one thing that you could go to the Zanarkand ruins. Take two rubber bands and place one on the X and the other on the left analog . Tie them in such a way that the X analog always stays up. Now you need to equip one person with the lure bracer and you should place Yuna in such a place that shes stuck and she keeps on running without covering any distance. You can find any spot you like. Now Have one has a white mage and the other two should attack always. Choose either warrior, gunner or gun mage and then leave it for like I would say 5 to 6 hours atleast. By the time you come back you should have 50000 approx gils. Now the reason I mentioned Zanarkand as its the safest of all the places. Almost every place has those wolf dogs that attack with killer fangs now and then and one of your characters gets knockdown. Maclania woods has one of those magical bue blobs cant remember the name of the fiend that has a physical damage to reducing your party member to 1 and then casts magical spells to finish em off. So that place is a no no as well. Zanarkand has one of those pesky lizards that attaxck with posion fangs but its no big deal, your white mage heals with 80 atleast and the poison attack takes damage worth of 50 hp so your still 30 hp high so you cant die there as well. By doing this you character levels up and you master the dress sphere and you get lot of gils. But make sure you do this when you party is above level 30 atleast. so they could take out the enemy within 1 to 2 strikes max, You white mage keeps on casting pray and the other keep on attacking so you should be fine. Every fights grants you a minimum of 90 gils and sometimes above at level 36 when your fighting in zanarkand ruins in chapter 2. Just to be on the safe side it is recommendable that your characters have star pendant equiped so they wont get poisoned. So have fun and let me know if you have some other easier gil making methods.

I am now officially giving up on calibrating the last 4 towers. They are humnaly impossible to do. Well I'm not saying that one can't do it but I for one was not able to do the last 4. Its just not possible for me. Whoever gets to comeplete the calibration dude you are a genious to pull that one off.

because I heard if you cant beat him you wont get 100 percent completion which does not allow you to see the special ending if you dont have 100 percent completion.

I thought you can get 100% by completing the game twice as your percentage is carried on in New Game +

You guys want help with the game ask me in simple questions - I read all of that above but I can't tell if people are helping or hurting . I finished the game last week, 88% well on my way to 100% in my 2nd game now (up to 94 in chapter 1). I played without a guide except for the dungeon of Via Infinito - 100 level dungeon you'll run into near the end. It's somehwat of a sidestory, but there is 2% of the story line you get there so make sure to complete it - I did and it was a major ***** on the bottom floors.

Anyway, forgive me for answering already asked / half-answered questions. But here I go .

Lightning Towers: Don't worry about them - they attribute 0% to the story line. The only thing you will get is a Garment Grid for completing all 10 (yes there's 10, and #10 & #7 I gave up on) - from what I know of it, it's not a fabulous one so just do it for as long as you can and when you go insane on #7 and #10 you can move on like I did after about 9 hours.

2nd Set of Ciphers: He was mostly correct when he said you get it from the Calm Lands in Chapter 3. When you go to the cave at the bottom of the gorge, the one where you had to go in FFX to find Yojimbo, you'll find that something bad has happened and the Gullwings help is required. One of the gentleman you rescue in here will give you the Besaid Key. With that key you can unlock the Treasure Chest in the Temple of the Fayth on Besaid. In here you'll find the Search Sphere. The Tutorial from the old man in the adjacent room is easy enough to follow and the 4 locations remain the same but the numbers change from game to game. If you want exactly locations ask, I'll be happy to post them, I just need to go in game and make sure I explain them well enough and don't feel like doing that atm .
