Re: Those crazy japs!!!!

For those who don't know Spanish:

Quote:
Great Square-Enix game based on the Dragon Quest universe, on which we will have to fight against hundreds of enemies using a sword as a weapon.
It connects directly to the TV (doesn't require a console).
Works with 4 AA batteries.
Important: it's only compatible with TVs that support the NTSC system or use a NTSC to PAL conversor.
This isn't new though, I recall seeing this on lik-sang a few months ago... never thought it would see the light of the day though...

Dont you mean "Those damn lucky japs?"

Interesting, i remember a (rumored?) special controller for FFX-2 that looks like 2 small guns...

Unhappy Re: Those crazy japs!!!!

Hmm... I'm not really comfortable with the tag line "crazy japs" if you know what I mean.

By the way the game isn't that much fun.

Re: Those crazy japs!!!!

In an insane world the crazy are the only sane people

But this game really does not appeal to me. Maybe to the crazy japanese (no offense, Katsuya ).

Ditto... I can't picture myself waving a sword in order to play a RPG

Re: Those crazy japs!!!!

It's not a matter of whether it's well done or not... it's just that it feels annoying to have to swing your gamepad in order to play

Re: Those crazy japs!!!!

yes , just try to do an omnislash

but it has good sides , as it will make u get deeper in feeling the reality of the game .

but don't hit ur parents with ur pad when they enter suddenly (thinking that the game monsters have got out of the game )

Re: Those crazy japs!!!!

okay, its a fun idea and all, but it doesnt seem very safe. maybe at an arcade where you have like a little cage that way some crazy, unbalanced idiot doesn't hurt someone. it just doesn't seem like something you can just do in the living room (or where ever you have your tvs sitting around)

Re: Those crazy japs!!!!

Yeah... the chaos one can unleash with such "gamepad" is something to keep in minds... nevertheless the graphics seem nice though...

Yeah... just to have your parents throwing you into a mental institution after seeing you waving a sword-pad like a madman

Re: Those crazy japs!!!!

it is a good idea, though the gamepad needs to be larger (to think about it like a real sword and not just a fancy kitchen knife ) though it would be hard to use

Re: Those crazy japs!!!!

i'd like to see how they implement someone trying to use an axe... a really big axe. you'd need like a little empty room to do your worst in.
