here's a demo of a rpg i been working on for some time, read the readme for instructions =)

i'd love some feeback ;-)

EDIT: i've put in a delay-er, it brings the fps down from 450 on my AMD 2000 XP
to 35 fps, if you need more speed tell me =)

wow, this is very wierd - I just came across one of your old threads where you were trying to come up with a concept for the battle system. I'll try it out and let you know what I think. and I think you made it in QBASIC, didn't you?

i used to make an RPG using "rpg maker" but i didn't complete it .

but i made a fighting game using MUGEN

ah thnx for all the replies, yes it's written in qbasic with the help of a library for faster gfx plotting.
if it doesn't work for you and you're in winXP rightclick on the exe file, properties, memory, and then change EMS- mem to at least 4096kb. In any other OS try to enable EMS mem =)

Just downloaded it. I'll give it a try and see what I think. I'm a fan of RPGs, have been for some time now. I'll let you know my thoughts.

when i talk to anybody it just gives an error message and i can't get out of it after that (have to press "ctrl + alt + del" then "end task" )

i'm using win 98

yeah that's right, you are only able to talk to the vehicle a little southwest of the starting position, just testing... ;-)

OMG! I'm not worthy! *bows down to Jade* omg cool stuff, and done in qbasic too! Wow! I mean... qb doesn't even have native gfx support, does it? I played around a little with qb in the past, but yeah... wow... you're not even limited to walking in giant squares like in the old rpgs (well of course there's technically a grid there, but it's way smaller than the tile's grid, which is a very good thing imho).

Seriously - even though the engine shows off a few minor graphical glitches - you are way superior to me when it comes to programming, and I really respect your work. Once again; wow, I'm not worthy..
