it's all just speculation. they always announce different things hither and thither. best you can do is wait.

Re: Halo 2 Pushed back?

most delay rumors come from someone going to some online store and seeing a different release dates. Half of the release dates in online stores are different, thus causing confusion. Most likely it will come out in march, bungie has yet to make any official statements regarding delays, so it's still on track for that release.

Re: Halo 2 Pushed back?

well i would rather it come out and be READY than be a piece of crap like Halo PC. (just an example, kind of ironic that its the other halo game)

the game is spectacular, in my top 10 of all time. the port was like a dog's poo: hot for about 5 minutes. i installed the game, was ready for the gaming orgasm of a lifetime (as i do not own an xbox, i logged my few hundred hours on halo at a friend's house)....and even with my computer, i can only get good performance (equaling xbox i mean) at 640x480, massive tweaks, and near bare bones visual options.

that is a horrible port. i can play THPS4 at 1280x1024 with the built in 2xAA at 20-60 FPS. doing what i said above with those Halo settings, i get 15-80 FPS. weak. maybe it's because my card is not truly a DX9 card. i dunno what kind of computer you have guruma but you need a hell of a good one to enjoy halo

Well your right. With my top notch computer I can run at high resolutions but on my moms (she got for xmas too) a P42.6, 9600 Pro, 1GB Ram, it is slow as hell at 1024X768 and doesnt get good speed till a low resolution by gaming standards. But the game does rule.
