The WarpPipe team has finally released the beta for their LAN to Online program for Gamecube!

Gamecube owners rejoice! MarioKart now online... think of the many hours that will be wasted because of this.

I checked out the site, it seems legal but it's not emu related. (it kinda seems like a kaillera style concept but with using standard GC games accross a network) it would be cool if they can get something like soul calibur II to work

that's not how it works. warp pipe basically extends the gamecube's lan network over the internet, so it only works with lan enabled games, like mario kart double dash and kirby's air ride. It's alot like gamespy's xbox service

no...only certain games support it...he's talking about games that support lan between 2 gamecubes (i think thats what hes talkin about)

Your right. Games like Mario Kart arent online. They are able to play in LAN using 2 GameCube hooked up together. Normally you hook up the two broadband adapters together and voila (IIRC)

What Warpepie does is instead of hooking your GC to another one, you hook it up to your router or modem (the other player has to do that also) and you play through the net. Its like expending the LAN feature over the internet

Its called Xbox Tunnle on gamespy arcade, its been around for awhile and ive used it to play Halo with 16 people! works great
