I've been stressed out lately and I need something to relax with. Any one have some Ideas of what movies, games (maybe foods?) I should try?

Re: Games/movies to help me relax... please
I'm not too good at dealing with stress, but a good Pink Floyd album can always help. If you don't like Pink Floyd (or prog rock in general) you can try classical music instead - it's a good stress reliever too (as they say "music soothes the beast ).

Jpop in generell is pretty good to relax. As a game, I would say FFX-2. Heard good things about it lately. Edit: Oh, you're from japan, never mind then

Re: Games/movies to help me relax... please
food is good, but the problem is that it doesn't last long enough. best thing you can do to relax is doing something you really like doing.

Re: Games/movies to help me relax... please
How about a FSP? Those always get rid of my stress I recommends SOF1/2 for extreme stress. or a simple one like Quake 3/Unreal Tournament for average stress. And a platformer for light stress. ![]() Also try putting in some ambient music.

Re: Games/movies to help me relax... please
I never really got stressed, but I need relaxation from other things such as exhaustion. Last time I got a bad cold, it was Lemmings Revolution that saved me, hehehe... I made a thread about the game; do a search if you want to know more about it.

You need something degrading to women. j/k You need something cute such as Chu Chu Rocket, Sexy Parodius, Mr.Driller, etc. or you need something which is involving but won't tick you off too much maybe Sanitarium, Dink Smallwood, or nba jam. |

Re: Games/movies to help me relax... please
oh, i don't know... nba jam can get pretty aggravating... especially when you have one of those guys who can't jump and when you try to block the ball, they do that useless air slappy move.

How about a nice quiet simple maze game like PacMan or Dig Dug? Something to take you back to an earlier simpler time. Cartoons are also good to help you relax, expecially funny ones like Tom and Jerry or Looney Tunes. For foods, pick one that you really like, but don't eat a lot. Indulge yourself with some of it, this will help also. Best of luck and hope you are back up to "snuff" soon. sincerely, sx/amiga |

Just play Silent hill 2 with all the lights turned off... If that doesn't help then you can try some clasical music as Boltzmann said. It will really help. In fact its used in therapy for getting rid of stress. Btw, any romantic movie will do the same... you know how relaxing can be 2 hours without a single bullet in a movie...

Re: Games/movies to help me relax... please
Thanks for all the suggestions guys. And keep it coming! I'll replay to these... [Boltzmann] ------------------------------------------------ If you don't like Pink Floyd (or prog rock in general) you can try classical music instead ------------------------------------------------ K: I like both Pink Floyd and classical music. My favorite Floyd song is -lunatic is on the grass- and my classical favorite is - Debussy - Claire de Lune- [erkhesjr] ------------------------------------------------ Do you know the movie "groundhog day"? watch it! a game to relax - "grim fandango" ------------------------------------------------ K: I watched, groundhog day and I liked it! Thanks! But I've never played grim fandango. [Toriyama] ------------------------------------------------ Jpop in generell is pretty good to relax. As a game, I would say FFX-2. Heard good things about it lately. ------------------------------------------------ K: Some pop music can be very good. I especially like Utada Hikaru's song 'Deep River' oh and I still haven't played FFX or X2. [Exodus] ------------------------------------------------ Food is good, but the problem is that it doesn't last long enough ------------------------------------------------ K: You are correct. The only reason I mentioned food is because I hadn't eaten all day. I need to make more time for myself ![]() [Razor Blade] ------------------------------------------------ How about a FSP? Those always get rid of my stress ------------------------------------------------ K: The only shooter game I own is Clive Barker's Undying. Not the most relaxing game [Takwu] ------------------------------------------------ Lemmings Revolution that saved me, hehehe ------------------------------------------------ K: If I find it, I'll try it. ![]() [Strider] ------------------------------------------------ enhasa from chrono trigger.. theres also an angelic oc radical dreamers remix from cc but that might be harder to find... other than that, anything by enigma ------------------------------------------------ K: where can I find these tracks? [Taisen] ------------------------------------------------ You need something degrading to women. j/k You need something cute such as Chu Chu Rocket, Sexy Parodius, Mr.Driller, etc. or you need something which is involving but won't tick you off too much maybe Sanitarium, Dink Smallwood, or nba jam. ------------------------------------------------ K: Well Taisen, I have to say, I did not expect you of all people to answer my post. No hard feelings from our argument I guess (but please try to be more respectful.) Now let us never speak of it again. ![]() Oh and I have never played Chu Chu Rocket, Sexy Parodius, Mr.Driller Sanitarium, Dink Smallwood, or nba jam, but they sound good if I can find them I'll try them out. [Sxamiga] ------------------------------------------------ How about a nice quiet simple maze game like PacMan or Dig Dug? Cartoons are also good to help you relax, expecially funny ones like Tom and Jerry or Looney Tunes ------------------------------------------------ K: PacMan has always made me tense. (I try to hard to be prefect) oh and I do love cartoons, good Idea but its hard too find a channel around here that has them on. [Kazuya Mishima] ------------------------------------------------ Just play Silent hill 2 with all the lights turned off... ------------------------------------------------ K: I've played all Three Silent Hill 3 games in a move theater; with a digital projector (the characters were enormous) and all 200 surround sound speakers screaming the insanity around me. It was... INTENSE! (I was alone) |
