You are correct Elly. It is Sonic DX from the GC ported over to the PC. Maybe some new things added for PC but still probably just a basic port. Great news for PC owners who like Sonic and don't have a GC, but for GC owners who like Sonic, they probably already have the game.

Love Sonic but I already have Sonic Adventure for DC. Is there a difference between that DX for GC(Two Player Mode?).

it's called Sonic Adventure DX. I never played any of the "adv" series so I have no idea what it's like . Im getting the trial and I'll post some screens soon.

you have other stages to try with tails and knucles but err this isn't nearly as good as sonic and sonic 2 :| , guess I'll just forget these new games exist.

Meh, knowing Sega I'd go for the DC version in case you have one (like me, who owns SA since day one ) or the GC one... Sega's ports are often filled with bugs or they feature ridiculous requirements...

After checking Sega of America's site... I wonder if this title will see the light outside of Japan. I mean, Sega PC released some titles for the PC a year ago or so (like Sakura Wars 3 amongst others) which never made it here...

This SA DX looks like one of those titles...

Yes, Sega sucks hard at PC ports. Look at crazy taxi, jeez that game's controls were horrid, and it's the same with sonic adventure DX. they always give you pisspoor control schemes that may make sense in japan (who knows), but you can never configure them. I played through the demo, and it does offer some potential, but it's buggy as hell and offers a terrible control scheme. the camera is always in the way, this time more, because it's difficult to control it while in action (q and w? wtf?). i clipped through the floor multiple times, falling to my death. And when flying around with knuckles, the camera liked to position itself with a mountain between it and knuckles alot of the time. I wonder when sega pc will actually become good at what they do...

I've played the demo... couldn't figure out much because of the japanese instructions but I was able to play trough the whole stage.
After playing the demo I thank God for the emu coders because 2D sonic is soooooo much better!

Well Sonic Games are not as good as they used to be. You see, back in the good ol' days I used to love Sonic because it was straight forward and everything about it was simple yet great. Ever since Sonic made the transition to 3d it has turned cheesey and annoying, its a good gane but not great. As far as i can see from the pics ur probably better off getting the GC or DC version. And u can already tell is gonna be one of those bad ports...

I disagree, SA was a superb transition from 2D to 3D. SA2 was good though it failed due to severe cammera issues.

But the modes in SA were loyal to the ones found on the original Sonic games, even the loops are in there...

I have yet to play a 3D Sonic Game. But I will be buying Sonic Heros if it ends up being good. And hopefully if this comes out to NA, That can hold me off for a bit.
