Re: Xbox 2 Specs

Too bad, when it'll come out, like all consoles, we'll have 5grz processors, haha. They're always just as good as pc's for a couple months, then die down. Ah well, 3grz means it'll be able to look better than halo on the pc.

Re: Xbox 2 Specs

Uh, who is estimating these? Based on what? Sources please..

Unless this is being released in 2006 or later, I think it sounds very unrealistic.

The Xbox isnt going to use a proccessor based off the x86 architecture, It's not going to be like the Xbox @ all.

And All we know is IBM is developing it. But it's not some apple chip or AMD/IBM spinoff, for whoever is thinking that,

The r500 rumors might be true.

This could be said of any console that ever existed. Every console is based on a CPU, graphics and audio component. It just so happen that the Xbox uses components that can be found in PCs as well. I've never seen anyone calling the SEGA Genesis a Mac, yet they use the same CPU. Basically, a console is but a computer designed for one specific purpose: to play games. Ask any developper and they will tell you that desiging a game for the Xbox is not the same as designing for the PC.
