Please Please Please help MGS2 PC?

i have geforce fx 5900 ultra why am i getting such chompy gameplay at full res with AA on and sometimes with it off. also the fps isnt anything to shout about please help!!!

oh and people ant coming up in the codec just otacons glasses

It dosnt even look like AA is work at all

hmm to be honest the game dosnt look great as i thought it would be silent hill 2 is a much better conversion

I hear AA in MGS 2 PC has a bug, but it ran fine with 4x AA on my radeon 9700 pro. Whether it was actually on or not I can't say, but I didn't get any rendering errors/slowdowns.

IIRC, FSAA isn't used in MGS2 Substance PC, wether it's on or off in the nvidia/ATi control panel.

For some reason, when I turn down "SE" under Sound settings to minimum, it gives me a huge FPS boost. It appears to have no effect on the sound quality.. Anyone know what it does?
