Re: More Street Fighter II please

Sounds pretty much like the "Vampire Chronicles for matching service" released on the DC... if it's as good as the other release I might consider getting it... if I ever get a PS2

Re: More Street Fighter II please

Man isn't this a rerelease actually seeing as that the arcades had such a version before (me remembers seeing such a title in M.A.M.E , withouth the anniversary part though)

Anyway it seems to be a basic port which even the PSX could play.

Perhaps, perhaps not... the Darkstalkers games never played the same as the arcade until the DC version, plus the different modes of playing with a same character was really a bonus for fighting game fans (like me)...

It's a bit more than just a basic port (just a bit) but IMO the adds are worthy enough to buy the game...

Re: More Street Fighter II please

I agree with Kaiser Sigma

Literally age-old debates such as which Ken is best can now be solved in violent battle... between the characters, not the arguers.

ah Super Street Fighters SNES version. Rated a 96% by Game Players, the highest rating ever given for a game.

Re: More Street Fighter II please

yeloazndevil, that is Super Street Fighter II X aka Super Street Fighter II Turbo, the fifth and last game in the Street Fighter II series.

Each character is a little different in each of the 5 games in the series (different moves, reach, etc.). Hyper SF2 will let you choose the different versions of the characters from those 5 games.

Unless you are a fighting fan you won't be able to fully understand the beauty of this release

that would be me.
seems like a cheap way to make more money by porting games... to me.
you don't see mortal kombat doing this.
(just ignore the fact that MK3, UMK3 and MKT are almost all the same)

in a mmorpg? not quite. its just the opening text letting you know what the world is like and what you'll be attempting to accomplish while you pay monthly fees. there won't be a story.

It's not a port, that's the thing... MK3, UMK3 and MKT are the same, but this release as well as the Vampire Savior features all the versions of the same character... think of this, you will finally be able to see if the Ken from SSFII really improved over the old one from SFII...

Again, only a purist of fighting game would like that... I for one do...

Re: More Street Fighter II please

Actually I think the stars here would be Dhalsim and Guile from the World Warriors.

They literally ruled. It'd be fun to see how they fare against the super turbo crowd.
