New Final Fantasy XI Demo/benchmark
http://www.playonline.com/ff11us/ben..._download.html Enjoy benching and the demo. I got 4700 points. Here are a few shots from the demonstration part. Pretty cool game. The benchmark part is also very nice. Chocobo's anyone??

Re: New Final Fantasy XI Demo/benchmark
Oh god, I only scored 1850 in the benchmark test. I ran the test with high resolution.

Re: New Final Fantasy XI Demo/benchmark
Seems like the game would have a good story.

Re: New Final Fantasy XI Demo/benchmark
There is a story, kind of. It's more or less a bunch of quests. Lots of side quests. This benchmark is better than the first. What I don't like is that fps/scores were lower. This benchmark had too many parts with tons of characters on the screen. This game isn't that packed, unless your wandering around a busy town. Most of the time you will be in a party(8 people at most I think) fighting. Usually there isn't that much going on to lower fps. For reference: Note: The following scores are for low-resolution mode. ● Cannot run – 999: “Too Weak” PC Unfortunately, we assume that the specifications of your computer do not meet requirements to run FINAL FANTASY XI for Windows. If you have this score even though your computer meets the minimum system requirements, please adjust the software resident on your PC. If your computer does not meet the minimum system requirements, please consider upgrading your machine. ● 1000 to 1499: “Easy Prey” PC We assume that your computer can run FINAL FANTASY XI for Windows. However, your frame rate may drop when in a party with lots of effects or in crowded cities. You should set the game settings (such as resolution and texture) as low as possible. In addition, if these symptoms bother you, you may consider upgrading your computer (such as increasing the amount of memory or upgrading your graphics card, etc). ● 1500 to 1999: “Decent Challenge” PC We assume that your computer can easily run FINAL FANTASY XI for Windows with the default settings. If the frame rate bothers you when you run FINAL FANTASY XI for Windows, you may change the game settings (resolution or texture settings, etc) or adjust the display of weather effects. ● 2000 to 2499: “Even Match” PC We assume that your computer can run FINAL FANTASY XI for Windows enjoyably with the default settings. You should be able to play easily with weather effects on. ● 2500 to 2999: “Tough” PC We assume that your computer can run FINAL FANTASY XI for Windows enjoyably with the default settings. If your video card exceeds the recommended system requirements, we recommend that you increase the resolution of FINAL FANTASY XI for Windows. FINAL FANTASY XI might run just as smoothly as in low resolution mode. ● 3000 to 3999: “Very tough” PC We assume that your computer can run FINAL FANTASY XI for Windows enjoyably with the default settings. If your video card exceeds the recommended system requirements, it may be possible to run “FINAL FANTASY XI for Windows” easily even in high resolution mode. ● 4000 or above: “Incredibly tough” PC We assume that your computer can run FINAL FANTASY XI for Windows incredibly well with the default settings. If your video card exceeds the recommended system requirements, it may be possible to run FINAL FANTASY XI for Windows easily even in high resolution mode or with bump mapping enabled.. ● 7000 or above: “Impossible to gauge” We assume that your computer can run FINAL FANTASY XI for Windows excellently with the default settings. If your video card exceeds the recommended system requirements, we recommend that you try out various configuration settings of FINAL FANTASY XI for Windows.

Re: New Final Fantasy XI Demo/benchmark
As of now, now Eurpoean release date is scheduled. The best way for you to play is import the US version. May US people have imported the jap version and it works fine for them. Everything you hear on FFXII is a rumor. It will be single player though.

Re: New Final Fantasy XI Demo/benchmark
wow..btw i have the game..so dont worry! you wont need that much of a powerful pc, just have somethin like 1 GHz and over with 256 mb of ram and over AND a pretty good video card..like ti4600 and over or gf3 ti series.I LOVE the game, its awesome and fun..i wish i could post pics but i think its illegal to do so..right now im on a 700mhz amd duron and the game still works pretty well..except in poor quality and i have a gf4mx440. RECOMMENDED SETTINGS: Amd Athlon XP 2000 256 DDR Ram N OVER Geforce 4 Ti/Ati Radeon 9500 N OVER 6 GB OF HD SPACE!!! boy was i amazed on how much space this game takes up!! 6 gigs..and thats just on the beta..imagine when its done! LOL, although it takes up alot of space..its a really great game and sure is worth it ![]() enjoy!

Re: New Final Fantasy XI Demo/benchmark
does it make a difference in this one whether you use AA or not? the last one ran in 640x480 with no FSAA whatsoever

Re: New Final Fantasy XI Demo/benchmark
Mohz, so your in beta? The full version will be 6 gigs also. If it runs ok on on your system, it should run on my bro's 1.3 t-bird, 256sdr and GF2 GTS. BTW, what settings you use use; res, front, back, bump, ect?

Re: New Final Fantasy XI Demo/benchmark
The benchmark is heavier that the game itself on purpose. The game will rarely be as heavy as in the benchmark, this is just to make it sure you won't have to endure too many slow downs during normal gameplay.

Re: New Final Fantasy XI Demo/benchmark
ok so basically this is how it's gonna be under extreme circumstances? so my barely getting 2000 in high res isnt a big deal, right?
