help with romancing saga

i got rs 1, 2 & 3 from a friend of mine yesterday and when i tried playing it today i realized that the games are all japanese... anyway after getting the roms from the net i realized that they are japanese too :cuss2: ... so my question goes like this.... anyone know where i can find good translations for this game... preferable german but english isn't bad either... also someone care to tell opinions about this game? so far i've seen the intro movies and they looked pretty nice...

...only the 3rd one was translated in English by Mana Sword (some years ago ) up to a decent level (there are some small glitches present, but it's playable). Don't even bother with the translations of the first two in the series.

You can get the patch over at The Whirlpool - I've been visiting that site for years for all my translation needs (along with rpgd and some other ones).

...and yeah, it's a very nice RPG. ...lots of characters to recruit, nice battle system, good looking "special moves" (Techs) - you get the idea: the usual "Square RPG goodness".

Yeah, RS3 is superb! I loved every minute of this game. A masterpiece! Anyway, I recomend the Zophar page ( http://www.zophar.net/ ) for translations patches. There are even some german translations there!

Romancing SaGa 2: Gideon Zhi and Alex W. Jackson

But there's no news of a patch yet by either team.
