VF4 or SC2?
I'm desperatly in a need for a fighting game for my PS2, what should I buy? I already have Soul Calibur 1 on my dc, is it worth getting the second one instead of Virtual Fighter 4?

Re: VF4 or SC2?
Virtua Fighter 4 I will say. But I played SC2 and loved it. You can get Evolution for the greatest hits price and maybe then save up a little bit and get SC2. They are both worth it. But I know you will love VF4:Evolution

Re: VF4 or SC2?
Get SC2... VF4E is a superb fighting game, but nowhere as good and/or addictive as SC2... the second features just so many different game modes, the replayability is so high... what are you doing reading my post ? . . . Go get the game

Re: VF4 or SC2?
Soul Calibur 2 would be my suggestion , VF 4(Evolution) is a very deep based fighter , meaning that it has gigantic movesets and so , don't get me wrong SC2 has them as well but they are small compared to VF 4. My ratings : VF 4 : 8,5 VF 4 Evolution : 8,9 SC2 : 9,4

Re: VF4 or SC2?
well get sc2 (i didn't play it on ps2 but only the arcade version) and any way i didn't like virtua fighter 4 as much as 2 (not talking 'bout graphics) and every soul game was good , just get sc2 to lose ur social life .

Re: VF4 or SC2?
well virtua fighter characters have this 80's style , so i didn't like characters personalities (b movies any one) and for the prettiest. well , sarah was semi pretty for me . and sc had sophittia and taki (the most flexible ) so it's sc girls . but any way when it comes to female fighters u must look for mai , chunli or mary blue .

Re: VF4 or SC2?
Is this even a real question? Virtua Fighter 4 can't hold a candle to Soul Calibur 2. It's like saying 'What shall I buy; Dune 2000 or Red Alert 2?'. VF4 may be good on it's own merits (and it is, I've got it somewhere), but once you put it next to Soul Calibur 2, it looks like a fighter Nintendo put together (once again, not disparaging VF4, just extoling quite how good SC2 is)

Re: VF4 or SC2?
I couldn't agree less. VF4 added little on my experience from VF2, while Soul Calibur 2 is a significant step up from Soul Calibur (and considering SC1 was pretty damned stellar to begin with....).

Re: VF4 or SC2?
All right, I'll buy SC2 as soon as the price drops! Edit: Hmm... SC2 has a lower rating then VF4 at Gamespot
