Wario Ware: how well can you squat? ...ridiculous

I just found this incredibly strange and unappealing: the new game cube game Wario Ware will feature new interactive multiplayer modes. Including one called "Listen to the Doctor." Quoted from the IGN article: "This mode requires that you follow the instructions of a doctor who'll tell you, among other things, to squat while playing. Your fellow players can push buttons to rate your performance. In the end, the player with highest rating wins." Points for originality, but -5000 for general stupidity.

Weird, but I'm not surprised. It seems the Wario Ware franchise is about random strange gameplay. The GBA one is just a series of nonsensical weird mini games. All in all it's quite fun, but it's uniquely odd.

Wario is an odd character to begin with...

I've seen some videos of the game... the gameplay looks like the one of a beat'em up

it seems really fun, extending the play of the videogame to the real world is really nice IMO, laughing and having a good time with some of your good friends sometimes involves games where all have to do some ridiculous thing

I hate games about ridiculous stuff

And Wario is a very quaint character.

Shoot down Wario!!

Re: Wario Ware: how well can you squat? ...ridiculous

maybe nintendo is trying to create an entirely new genre. but looking at it from a neutral point of view, its probably something amusing to do at a party. (party as in: a 10 year old birthday party)

But then again, even Big Brother 2 has a chance of appearing as a nice game if heavily alcoholic drinks are serverd

Few Nintendo characters don't suck... I'm still waiting for the day when Samus takes the mascot's place
