River City Ransom EX

If you're old school like yours truly, played the NES, then you must have heard of this game. Well, a remake is being released for the GBA! Here is a screenshot of the game, and there's only one so far unfortuanetly.

At least it's a remake and not just a port. Is it just me, or do Gamespot images almost never show up properly? Because this one sure didn't...

Yeah, I hate ports too. The graphics look obviously cleaner than the original, so it's all good. About the images not showing up, I think that's because you're using (maybe using?) Kazaa lite and it has to do with the host file. This post from their forum tells you how to solve the problem.

ShadowDancer, thanks for the news ...I love River City Ransom, and about every game that has Kunio in it (the well known Japanese "bad-boy" in his trademark Nekketsu white school uniform).
One of my all-time favorite 8-bit games, "Renegade", was based on the arcade game of the same name, which was in turn a "westernized" version of Technos' succesful "Nekketsu Kouha Kunio Kun".
Kunio rocks !!

Oh Renegade! You just opened good and bad memories I had of that game. I hated that game but I couldn't stop playing it.... that's how I felt about it. The guys that held you from the back, the women with the purses, the guy on bikes.... that's all I remember from it. It was so long ago.

Indeed...DW is a big Kunio fan as well...so much that we hacked the NES game Super Dodgeball so that the team names included Kunio (better then Sam), Riki, and the rest..

This remake looks cool as well...cannot wait for it's release..hope it makes it here
