[OT] FF9 Kuja

Ok this is a little of-topic, but I just have to

Just finished cd1 on ff9 and was watching the cinematic of Kuja.
Is Kuja a HE? What's with the sexy outfit? And his hips! They look like a woman's!

If there's a logical explanation to this, that will be revealed later in the game please don't tell.

Anyways....opinions?

wrong forum to post this, it should be in Game Discussion...Kuja does look like woman in the FMV, but yes Kuja is a guy even if he doesn't look like it

and its not revealed later in the game its obvious

surprisingly, the way he looks (like a woman) has absolutly nothing to do with the game. so, basically, i don't recall another of the characters commenting on his wardrobe. maybe it was going to be a chick originally, but then they decided to make it a guy, but were too lazy to make new fmvs... who knows...

You have never watched Sailormoon, did you? It contains lots of baddies who look very female (which should give them maybe a special attractive and mysterious touch).

i thought all the enemies WERE females in that show. in any case, you really can't tell Kuja's a guy for a while. and its definetly not the way i'd go to give a character a special attracting and mysterious touch.

He's just a Bishonen. Common thing. Hell Sanada Yukimura in SDK was a bishonen, and it didn't stop him kicking ass

Lord of Darkness I'm the only one who saw Kuja as a male from the very first moment

Anyways, I agree he is bishonen as Kane stated it's sort of common in anime... Kenshin Himura comes to mind as a prime example of a powerful warrior even if girlish-looking...

It seems I spelt it wrong it's Bishounen. It literaly means 'handsome youth', but is used to describe 'lady-boys', men who look/act/sound effeminate, much like Yukio from Card Captor Sakura.

Bishonen != Bishounen ? That's why I don't like jp, too many words that are almost the same save for one letter

BTW IIRC the issue with Yukito was a bit worse than him being just a Bishounen... /me shrugs...

it was really only the fmvs that were wrong. the in game and battle shots weren't as bad. and hell, cait sith can use ultima, that doesn't make him cool.

but could imagine how much better he could have been if he didn't look like a girl? unless thats what they were going for. they wanted to make him look like a pansy to catch us off guard.

Sephiroth was a cool boss. He had the whole 'I'm way cooler than you coz I've got long hair and a long sword' (and you know what they say about men with long swords.... that's right, big sheaths

) thing goin on. There were bosses with better character (you can't mess with Cefka's insanity), but he was damn cool

Come on, his look wasn't that girlish... it's just that the long hair deceived ppl ^^
