Your Preference

Yea. The poll says it all. I voted for Sega because they were first EVERYWHERE and nobody cared. People bought their Super Nintendos and pushed Genesis off the edge. Even so, that was their most sucessful console. 2 32-bit flopped consoles later, they released the greatest system ever made and nobody seemed to care. Again. People just bought their PS1s, N64s, and PS2s and pushed the Dreamcast off the edge. What a Pity.

Re: Your Preference

Sony. They're better at getting good games to their consoles.....at least right now.....and their technology is great as well.

Sega came in second for me, because they've always had that hidden greatness that you only find if you actually look for it.

And Nintendo?.....they died after the SNES.....and Super Smash Brothers.

Re: Your Preference

hey where's MS?
if we're talking about the consoles themselves, including all games that came out on them, i'd vote Sony.
if we're talking about the games those companies made on their consoles, i'd vote for Sega.

Re: Your Preference

Well, I don't care about them, I only care about the games that are good, no matter the machine (K, I admit it's boring to want to play a game when we don't have the console needed)

Re: Your Preference

I choose Sega, as it had it's great consoles and is a superb game developer.

Of course Sony is still the most popular...

Nintendo? It's digging it's own grave. The SNES was a good console, but only due to it's 3rd party support. Nintendo is dead as a game developer.

Re: Your Preference

I try not to favor any of them in particular, I have an open mind. Anyway, I could care less about hardware, I only care about games. Even more so since I don't have a PS2, an X-Box, or a Gamecube. If I had to vote for a company, I'd vote for Konami just cause they've made soooo many series which I love and they've been doing it well for so long (Castlevania, Metal Gear, Contra, Silent Hill, Goemon, Ninja Turtles )... they also put lots of effort into sound, music and voice (acting) which is a big thing to me.

Re: Your Preference

Well, ill be more clear on this. I mean the quality and overall "goodness" of the company's products.

Re: Your Preference

are you counting 3rd parties as the "company's products" even though all the companies did was supply them some hardware to work with? sorry for looking at it so technically, its my nature.

Re: Your Preference

well, if you had asked me 7-8 years ago I would have said nintendo snes rocked its time and had many of the greatest EVER games on it. Then the n64 came which had no games on it to justify my attempting to get my parents to spend $100's for it. What POed me off more is that the second n64 it the scene the snes was the trash in the dumpster. Still pissed at how quickly they stopped making games for it. Now I would say that sony is the flavor of the few years as they have the quality games.

Re: Your Preference

Game wise no one will ever beat Sega, they are just too damn creative...
Company wise of course that the option is Sony... expect them to rule the console market for some generations...

You may just want to stop at electronics... I don't recall any game made by Sony that brought me at least half of the joy that Sega's games did

Re: Your Preference

they did make a couple good rpgs. they published (which probably doesn't count for much) the arc the lad series and the wild arms'. and they also made legend of dragoon. but really though, sega did make some great games.

Re: Your Preference

They did/published some good games, but not on the heels of Sega (when it comes to both quantity/quality).
Don't misunderstand me, I'm not saying that Sony's games are bad, it's just that they aren't as good as the ones from Sega
