Steam Beta is now available to the public and offering access to Counter-Strike 1.6 Beta. In addition to CS 1.6, Steam delivers automatic updates, allows you to chat with friends (even while playing), find servers and more. Apparently Steam will also be serving up some new Half-Life 2 Media soon.

Yeah, eventually. It was meant to be released months ago Anyway, where's CS2 already? I remember reading an issue of PC Gamer dedicated to it that said it would be released in a few months (that was like two years ago )

are you talking about that CS: Condition Zero? or the actual CS2. i have a strange feeling CS2 will be out for HL2, not HL. unless they've gone too far with the development in which case changing to another engine would be quite a bit more coding...
