Re: splinter cell 2

HAAAH, speculation doesn't hurt. MGS3 is gonna kick SC2's ass. Heck I don't even want to name SC2 with MGS3. Then again, I think we should leave MGS vs SC to that other thread.

AFA SC2 is concerned, I thnk we have seen only CG shots which IMO is an extremely cheap way of advertising a game

Never performs a stunt? Like grabbing on to a ledge,, using a zipwire, or doing the whole split jump thing?

Re: splinter cell 2

I think people are to used to snake because he's been around longer. and since sam fisher is so new people have a hard time seeing the differance between the two. IMO. Sam fisher uses stealth Alot better then snake or raiden did in MGS2. besides, i dont think you'll ever find sam hiding in a damn box from his enemys.

why it is fun in hiding in the boxes and when getting caught it is more fun.sam never twists the neck of his enemy but snake does.solidsnake also uses stealth.also sam is so boring

So hiding in the shadows an incho or two from an enemy is not stealth?
Fisher tries not to kill, thus he makes a better 'hero' than people who seem to kill without thinking.

i still dont seem why cowering in a box seems so apealing to people. I'd much rather draw less attention to my self by hiding in the shadows.. and explaine how snake uses more stealth? last time i played the game all i did was hide in boxes, lockers, anywhere really and just blast the crap out of my enemys or put them to sleep. i think the only stealth part of snake is the box trick, and the M9 which is the most horrible weapon in the world.. in that game your better off going in guns' a blazing' with fisher, you have to try NOT to kill your enemys otherwise the'd have a better chance at 1. finding the body and noticing your their. 2. geting yourself killed.

(i think me and kane are the onlyones that feal mutual about this... why is that?)

Re: splinter cell 2

Well I won't deny that MGS2 has a better story, but as I said, I kinda find that irrelevent in games of this ilk.
Splinter Cell seems a lot more 'real' for starters anyway.
Anyway, what I was gonna get at is that anyone that says that MGS2 is a better stealth game than SC is lying like a whore. Hell in most of MGS2 (frankly all to tell hte truth) you can go around guns blazing and kill everyone you see. Hell, that's what I did. Splinter Cell forces you to rely on stealth (owing to the game over after too many alarms in some cases and in others being unable to kill). Tell me a bit in MGS2 that requires the stealth that you do in hte CIA HQ?

Re: splinter cell 2

The Cia Hq mission really really stunk, thats the one mission i spent SO long on. because it was hard to hide bodies if you had no other choice but to kill someone.all i did in MGS2 was go trigger happy and shot anyone that looked like a bad guy. Their is nothing Stealthy about that game what so ever.

I loved the CIA mission because I could practice proper stealth. Never seen, never heard. I played the entire game like that thereafter.
