Re: Video game ratings revised

i dont really care about labels, i care about the stupid parents who think a blood and gore label means the game is 18+ ... society is soooo dumb sometimes, ive played mortal kombat since i was 6 years old and ive turned out better than most of the gutter spawn i know... who cares about labels anyways, if i want a game i dont even look at a label

Re: Video game ratings revised

Greetings,

Another stupid and useless act IMHO. My opinion is the same as Strider's in this regard. Such labels are misleading and unnecessary.
I've played violent games all my life, and I never even got into a fight. I want to know when all this BS will end

Live long and prosper.

The u.s. sometimes are really strange. I sometimes whink the world is full of fanatics. Goods that in Mexico nobody care about the labels. The sell a 18+ game to a child because the simply dont know what is the label, they think its a part of the design.

Take this for example:

GTA VC is rated M. The Getaway is rated M. IMO The Getaway makes look GTA as if it was designed for kiddies

They use the F-word too much. And nudity as well

Re: Video game ratings revised

haha, nudity. the only game i've seen with a little boobie action was duke and daggerfall.
but, overall, i prefer games with a M rating. that way, you know it isn't going to be a cutesy ride.

Re: Video game ratings revised

Yeah, but that doesn't necessarily mean that an M rated game would be better.

Re: Video game ratings revised

of course, that goes without saying, i'm easily amused, and i don't rate games harshly. besides, most of the games i like are M rated anyways.

Re: Video game ratings revised

Well I believe that M-rating gives developers more "freedom". Excellent thing that the next smackdown will be M-rated
IF the current rating system prevails....

Re: Video game ratings revised

ah... now the big words are going to be said.
that could be it. freedom. with an M rating, they don't have to censor themselves or soften it up. its more like how they originally planned it. could you imagine if they tried to make GTA a Teen game?

Re: Video game ratings revised

Could have worked out really!

"The Getaway" would have been another story. Think of how many "F-words" they would have to pull out!?

Re: Video game ratings revised

still haven't played getaway, but i'm sure they could have used more suitable words like "dork" and "bumhead"

could you imagine GTA without strippers though? no strippers, no GTA

The strippers in GTA are NOTHING compared to the one in The Getaway
