Talking Woohoo Gta:Vice City on the PC at last!!!

Ahah topic sez it all!! Just played it, and boy it's seriously cool. Much smoother then gta3. I can run it at 1024x768x32 w/ constant framerates of around 50~75 fps!!
Graphics are also very much improved.
Will be posting some screenies soon (that's after i stop jumping around the room, hugging my gta:vc cd)

Greetings,

Vice City on the PC? Finally!!!
But a question: will I be able to run it having only a GeForce 2??
I hope it's enough, because I'll buy this game ASAP.

Live long and prosper.

Aparently this game is less of a resource hog than the original GTA3.

Nope, I'm still stuck with a wussy 8.4 rig (though I have lots of backup of my files on CDs)...

Greetings,

I can run GTA3 pretty fast on my PC, then I guess I'll run Vice City ok... And based on 12si opinion I think the game is worth my money.

Got the game today, seems that the damn lag is no longer in this port as in GTA3.
The graphics are better, there's a lot of enhanced stuff GAT3 didn't have.

I personally don't think the graphics are much of an improvement over GTA3. The main character looks smoother and less chunky but the overall game graphics seem more or less the same. I also never had any problem running GTA3 smoothly at 1024x768x32.

Nevertheless, it seems like the game will be alot of fun and I'm looking forward to playing it... and I'm most looking forward to the tons and tons of new audio on the radio stations.

This game totally rules! I'm such a sucker for the 80'ies. However, I'm a little dissappointed they took out the old school GTA camera angle... is there some way to unlock that?

Are you saying about the helicopter view? If that's what you're talking abt, then you can actually change the view to it
