Any other Mechwarrior\BT fans out there?

I've personally been playing the series since the begining, and it's been a sweet addiction ever since, tho to be honest MW4 kinda soured it a lil bit. Just things I noticed personally which bugged me, such as they way they totally deformed some of the mechs and outright changed their whole design. Been playing Mercs for a couple weeks now, and it's a step closer to restoring my faith in the series but still lacks that touch that made those first MW games like Crescent Hawks, Crescent Hawks revenge, MW2, and MW3 rock the big one. Some will likely gripe that I didn't include MechAssualt in there, my reasoning is that I personally dont consider the piece o' shiz that is MechAssault to be part of the series. Yeah it was nice and prettified,and it had the mechwarrior name, but with addition of completely inane and outright stupid crap which doesn't even exist in the MechWarrior universe, like powerups and frign force shields it simply just does not belong in the same category of greatness.
Anways I digress, just wondering for those who are fans of the series what your favorite is, personally for me it was #3. I loved the graphics (in some ways superior even to #4's) The Physics engine (You acctually saw damage as it occured, instead of just seeing the Mech Turn Black, *cough*#4*cough*) The weaponloadout system was pretty sweet too, tho it with mechs like the Daishi (Dire Wolf) It made it too easy to create "Uber" mechs.

I have played frign mechassault and all it did was make me hate Microsoft even more for ruining the series with that piece o' crap game.

im a huge MW fan and i have to say that mechasault is ****.that simple. i finished mercs 3 times and its the best one since mw3 and mw2mercs. are u playing in any clan or league? i was a part of CHH: clan hells horses.

At the moment no, due to my internet connection it's not really an option, possiably i'm going to be moving soon and in doing so i'll be in an area where I can get a broadband hook up, but right now i'm stuck with a Dial Up that gets 28.8 when the wind blows right

As far as Mercs I love it, cant get enough of this game even with being limited to the single player aspect right now, I haven't even begun to tire of it.
