  1. Have you patched it to the latest version?
  2. Have you tried putting it in a directory named in DOS 8+3 format?

Oh my! Windows XP on a PII-350MHz  !!!

Why don't you switch back to Windows 98? I had lots of problems with some games while having XP on my HDD and switching back to 98 solved them all. And it is much faster with your system...

I only have a PII-400 and XP runs faster than 98 does on my system. Also, 98 crashes like hell.

I solved this problem

i have solved the unreal crash problem. the prob was that a sound file wasnt properly installed, which i then copied from my unreal tournament folder and then it worked jus fine. anywayz, thanx everyone for ur help.

but now i have another prob nothin to do with unreal though. since 3 days, i am unable to logon to my hotmail acc using ie. normally, i use msn explorer as my browser but that day even this was failin to sign into my account. regarding ie, i can goto any other site easily and normally. infact, i can even goto the homepage of hotmail, but when i enter my username and pass, it tries to take me to my inbox, but it shows 'page cannot be displayed'. i tried over installing ie6 again, but xp gives an error saying that the ie installation has not passed the xp compatibility test and hence the installation will be stopped. i dont even get an ignore or continue msg, just ok. i also cant uninstall ie6 so that i can reinstall it. furthermore, i even asked many of my friends to login to their own acc and test whether they can check their mails, and they cud successfully without any errors. can anyone help me with this? also, if anyone can send me a working link of ie5.5 setup file, that too will really help.
