I'm looking for any good dating sim game that is in English and on any platform (besides next-gen) even PC.

Cough, yeah. I'm afraid most if not all of the dating sims in English are simply H-games.
You could try playing LHA with the patch, but considering I completed that in a little under half an hour.....

The reason why there no real english dating sims is that people in western cultures would generally rather go out with the real thing than interact in some crappy simulation.

yep, just like the poll says.

To Kaiser: indeed, seasons of sakura is too light to be considered as an H-game, if your conservative you can stick to it before the ending occurs.

one game comes to my mind, how bout graduation 2000? you also get the chance to date your students if IIRC.
