Gamecube MGS: The Twin Snakes

Talk about strange developments. MGS for the GC is called The Twin Snakes and is being developed by silicon knights (makers of Eternal Darkness), and under the supervision of Hideo Kojima and Shigeru Miyamoto.

It is basically a remake of the original MGS with revamped graphics. But since both Kojima and Miyamoto are in charge, I can't wait to see how it turns out.

I'd love to have it on the PS2. But then it probably wouldnt handle what they're going to throw at it.

GBA's got the ball on that one. But GC is extremely close behind (with... two remakes! ... wut am i forgetting ?). 'Sides, remakes show that there is enough interest in a classic that companies are willing to invest time and money in bringing the game into a new perspective. I for one can't wait. BTW better remakes than ports right?

Exclamation

I dont believe it. :eyes: I hope they port this one on to PC!
I wonder what other games will be remade for Gamecube. Its like they are making up for games that couldnt be released on their previous consoles. (No offense, there previous console was still great in my opinion).

Silicon Knights is really only handeling the coding, i'm guessing that it'll be much like a direct-port of MGS2, like the XBox version was (slowdown and all).

No buddy, this game is not a port. It's a remake, complete with overhaul to the code (Most likely re-written from scratch). The game is in development at SK, not just the coding. It's under the supervision of Kojima and Miyamoto much like M. Prime and Zelda were both under the supervision of Shigeru Miyamoto. Though Kojima and Miyamoto will have the final say in what goes into the game and how it will be developed, that does not mean that the developers cannot add their own ideas to the project.

And if you're talking about that rumor you stated before about MGS2 being in the game, that has not been confirmed or even mentioned. Where did you get that from?

MGS2 is also on PC. MGS may not have as good of graphics on PC but you can always use antialiasing to improve them.
