Best music on old school systems?

I want people's opinions on the best music for a game on old Atari Consoles, Master System, NES, Genesis, or any systems before the release of the Genesis.

I think the SNES was the first system to really have very nice, (non-midi) sounding music so I can't count it as old-school.

I loved megaman music, same w/ castlevania tunes. I was a this party where a friend had brought a CD of random tunes and one of them was the megaman 3 theme. I bet him 10 bucks that no one at this party would recognize the tune... and I lost Shows you what kinds of parties I attend

Last Ninja on the C64... best music ever. Actually, C64 had TONS of games with great sound and tons of great games in general.

On the NES, Blaster Master, Ninja Gaiden games, and Castlevania games.

Fantastic Dizzy for nes had great musics. I still play this thingy just 'cause of the musics (They are way better than the ones for the genesis version...). Megaman 3 (also for nes), have great musics too.

Megaman 2 on the NES is by far my all time favorite, aswell as Contra series. Capcom and Konami had the best music for their games. Rock & Roll Racing on the SNES was good stuff too, but it was just covers of already great songs.
