Counter-Strike Help Needed

Ok heres the problem...got both my computers now both hooked up to LAN connection and cable modem...i want them both to go online and play in the same game of counter-strike (and/or mods) and was wandering if there was any *LEGAL* way to do this...if i have to buy a new copy i can...and i dunno about the whole having 1 IP address thing.

You need 2 copies. 1 ip is OK I think, but I'm not sure if you can join the same game.

You need 2 CD keys to both be on at the same time anyways. I know that much from experience.

hmmm....alright...i guess I'll go buy another one or something because i really want to play with my 2 computers...wanna play with friends if they come over...they need to make option where you can join a game over LAN with 2 computers over network...it doesnt pop up under LAN games does it...or is that only if you start one?

why dont you just use the downloaded version of CS and save yourself a buck or two?

Yes, but you still need 2 HL cd keys to play online.

oh, i thought he meant buy the commercial CS again. but you can still pick up HL for no money at all anyways.

cs doesnt work on lan for me.. i have 2 seperate copies.. but only one comp can play at a time..
