Squaresoft just rereleased a few months back the best place to look for it would be electronics boutique or another video game dealer that specializes in video games.

I never thought of it as rare, I easily found it when I wanted it awhile back. I guess it's rare now though. I tried Xenogears in ebay and most of the descriptions were "Xenogears, RARE PSX GAME" and stuff like that. Obviously if you can't find it around in stores you can try ebay, there are numerous copies there.

ive never seen a copy of xenogears in any store around here. i was lucky enough to have a friend that burned me a copy.

i live in the middle of silicon valley, in the suburbs, but this is probably one of the worst areas for gaming in the country.

Well, if there's been a re-release than finding it should be easier. I imagine the new one would be cheaper than the used, since last I saw the used title it was $40, and that was easily 2 years ago...

It was hard find it, at least to me. But rare? I think it will be like that in the future but not right now. There're a lot of copies in ebay.

here in europe it's impossible to get it, since it's NTSC only(NorthAmerica), so it's gotta be imported, or *downloaded*

Very true, and not too long ago, buying it in France (NTSC/US version), cost 800F (= €122 )

It's nearly impossible to get it here in Spain. As impossible as no-one-has-ever-heard-of-it impossible. A pity.

Yeah, game releases in Europe are very poor:
no Xenogears, no Chrono Cross, no Valkyrie Profile, no FFtactics... really nothing
