Best final fantasy game.. starting with psx.

in your opinion, what do you think the best Final Fantasy game is? PSX & PS2 wise

1.FFVII
2.FFVIII
3.FFIX
4.FF Cronicles (FFIV and CC remake)
5.FFX

To me, graphic wise FFX. but the game was just too short for me. story line wise ... himm. either FFVII or The chrono trigger remake(although all they realy re-did was make some new Anime movies, but its all good with me)

why Final Fantasy is always mentioned here? there some RPGs which kicks a$$ some of the FF titles. Secret of Mana II, Seiken Densetsu III, Breath of Fire II, Xenogears, Chrono Trigger.......etc. ad besides, people here are sick of " best FF" threads

Well technically you haven't really limited it down all that much

The only one I like on the PSX is FF Origins. I don't care for any of the other titles in the main series that isn't a simple port. And unless FF X really starts picking up in a hurry, my thoughts also extend to that.

Greetings,

Until now I've only played Final Fantasy VII and VIII (up to the middle of the game, that is) in the PSX, but I think that FF VII is better than VIII.
It'll be a long way before I play FFX (PS2 are REALLY expensive in Brazil), but I shalll try FF IX soon.

I also want to try Xenogears (thanks to Kane review of it). I'm a big Chrono Trigger fan (I like it much more than Chrono Cross, but it has it's own merits).

Boltzmann, just out of curiousity, how much is PS2's their? and did you all get that *** glitch with the 1st waves of them as we did in the U.S.A. ? their was glitch that Let only DVD-ROM games work on PS2s, and the DVD's on worked for about 30mins (maybe more, maybe less) untill it froze. and abunch of other crap i cant rember.

I loved FFX, so my list would be as follows;

1. FFX
2. FF7
3. FF8
4. FF Cronicles
5. FF IX

IMO 7 and 8 should be tied because they both are really good, but whatever.
