FFX Boss. Help please!

Spoiler:
I need help beating Seymour at the top of Gagazet mountain. He kills off my party within 2 mins (I can last 5 mins with Auron's massive HP.) Can anyone tell me how they were able to beat this insanely tough boss??

Re: FFX Boss. Help please!

Spoiler:
Ok first off he's very weak when it comes to the bio spell, cast that on him (removes any healing benifits he gets from that other thing). Then have all your aeons in overdrive and have yuna in haste. Summon an aeon, use its overdrive. He'll waste his next turn killing that aeon, plus because he'd poisioned that action will do a fair bit of damage to himself. Using that tactic he never even hit me once

I haven't learned bio yet but that tactic should work excellently

Spoiler:
assuming your talking about Seymour Flux. the best way to go would have someone learn Hastega . then have someone cast protect on everyone. also, silencing him MIGHT work, it worked atleast once with me. but i fogot how i did it. the biggest tip i can give you is. ALWAYS have all your aeon's ready in overdrive mode. your only going to get one shot with them, so they might as well go out with a bang right?

and also, dont bother attacking Seymour. it just wont do a damn thing. if im right, keep attacking Mortiochris. because that little bugger will keep sucking life out of Seymour to heal itself.

feal better? :fingers:

I agrred with Raiden1803, plus you can spell magic "reflect" on him and make sure that he wont be healed himself [this will make one of your character healed by him].

This is your own fault, DarkAurora. You mentioned Seymour at the Gagazet mountain that make everyone understand.

The tactic I and many of my friends who all got stuck here used was to get every aeon, yuna, and the other two characters you plan to use overdrived before the fight (shouldn't be too hard with a save point and all of the gagazet monsters around, try a few diff overdrive modes to see which one builds your gauge up fastest) and just pound him every turn (I think bahamut does 9999 to him at this stage) but only use the aeons overdrive, and not normal attacks, as Seymour will insta-kill them the next turn.

Hence why I used spoiler tags. Oh well, it's not a big deal.

beaten him yet?

in honesty, I thought gagazet was the games lowest point. The extremely high frequency of random battles (And im no FF newbie) was even worse than the nes originals, with an age of random battles and no story input :|

I think Squaresoft did that because the boss is so hard. They wanted to make sure you were plenty leveled up. Although the difficulty of the monsters are a little too high.

have fun, anyhow.
