Damn Mines!!! (Splinter cell help please)

whats the best way you all have removed the mines in splinter cell? in the game it says something like waiting for the green light to be off. its pritty damn hard to do that at the angel im stuck in most of the time. and doing that at the same time while trying to time your movemnets to when he actualy grabs the damn thing. so whats everyone elses best solutions to this?

I just crouch walk at lowest speed up to them and disarm them. There was only one mine that I couldn't do this, and I think this was in that Kalanitek building, wheI had to find a floor tile.

You mean the bit in Kalanitek? You don't even need to disable them, just run and roll through the fire. They explode behind you without hurting you.
