Kaisers Gonna Love this. Lunar released AGAIN

it seems working designs is releasing Lunar the Silver Star Story remake again and bundling it with a bunch of fan art. Charging around 65-70 Bucks for it.

I swear Working Designs as a company has nothing anymore. They've burned all their bridges it seems

Herm actually I got mad with this issue... a year ago when it happened
The Lunar re-re-release featured new fanart... on the disks... shame on WD and curses to Game Arts for allowing this defiling to continue...

WD can't be working on anything as they aren't the responsibles for the Lunar saga... the creators of it are Studio Alex, a division (I think...) of Game Arts...
Rumors of Lunar 3 are quite old, mind you it was supposed to appear on the DC...

Check out LunarNet, They have a section on Lunar 3. Not sure if they have any real hard core evidence though.

I know it since long ago, I'm a fan of the Lunar saga
In any case they only have a slight rumor and a bit of expectations... honestly I don't think that we will see a Lunar 3 ever. Game Arts has already proved that they were capable of developing only Lunar TSS and Lunar II EB...
They are what you would call a company of only 2 games... a pitty indeed as the Lunar saga has a lot of potential...

As a matter of fact the GBA remake was translated by Ubisoft... bummer, they know how to do a job... too bad they didn't exist back then on the days of the SegaCD (I think they didn't exist, if they did then too bad they weren't in charge )...

If you read the interview on Lunar.net

you hear Victor Ireland talking about how "No one gets Lunar but working designs"

Which is why I find the whole ordeal funny

It would seem Game Arts doesn't agree.

The sad thing is. working Designs used to have an awesome software lineup. Back in the days of the Saturn. And they did decent on the PSX. But ever since the PS2 hit. They have dwindled into like nothing.

They haven't released product ina LONG time.

I mean if you look at their Saturn Lineup. It was a lot more impressive than their PSX lineup. And the PSX lineup compared to their non existence PS2 lineup.. I think you see the trend.

Lunar is also on the GBA and is quite nice actually. Which platform will this version of Lunar TSS be on? PSX (again), PS2, GC, or X-Box?
sincerely,

Um...this release was pointed out on WD's site a couple months back. I can't imagine who in their right mind would want the rerelease, considering the fanart covers were laughably bad.

Game arts is quite alive and still kicking. The last game I can remember from them is Grandia II Extreme, and I'm sure they had more. Lunar was a joint b/w GA and Studio Alex. So mebbe its SA that's lacking?

strange...happens with more company's. Back in the 80's (yes, long time ago) on MSX gamearts made quite a lot of different games. This happened with a lot of those old companies ...compile, also a big player on the msx, now mainly makes puyopuyo's (and fortunately finally a smup again after years of...puyos), and many of the companies that were cool on Amiga now vanished or only make one type of game.

The fanart versionn was release on Feb 6... of 2002
And as they said the "fanart" was awful... the best CD art was the 6 covers of the original Lunar.
The only thing that I really liked about the GBA version is that it was translated correctly Ubisoft really knows how to do their work...

Keep in mind that I'm always talking about great games... Grandia II was excellent but Grandia X was awful...
I didn't say they are dead, I only said that they aren't delivering worthy games...

Thanks,<

This is the respond I got back.

Them >Hello, We here at the Working Designs website have been informed there is a new game within the series being worked on.

Working Designs apreciates your feedback.<

I was emailing them 2 times a day with the same question, Took them 3 week's to get this response

Um...Lunar 3 has been in "secret" development for quite some time now. If you believe what Vicky Ireland has to say, it's supposedly something we'd never expect. If/when it's released, I bet someone else will pick up the R1 rights to it anyway (like Square Enix, since it owns GA).
