KungFu edition 3 mod for Max Payne released

Official site:

(NOTE: In an attempt to make the intro .avi video more accessible to viewers, I decided against using a divx compressor. However, I unknowingly ended up using a codec that alienated even more people. grrrr... So if you are having problems with the intro video not playing, download the Angelpotion codec HERE .)

Its wierd, when I start out the game I can't do wall jumping or stick fighting. Do I have to play some more to get these abilities or am I not doing something.

There's a level up thing. When you kill a certain number of enemies, combo length is extended and you gain extra abilities like wall jump, wall run and takedown.

I've been playing it on XP. I haven't actually tried the KungFu mod yet though.
Odd that you should mention that though because when I had my old motherboard(an Iwill XP333-R) I couldn't get the game to load properly. It would always boot me to desktop. And now it works perfectly, but all i can think of that I changed is the motherboard. I'm running the exact same version of winXP as i was before(of coarse its a newer install, but the same version). I suppose it could have been vid card driver related, but I tried a couple different detonators before giving up on it.
I was skeptical about reinstalling Max Payne with my new board, but I'm glad I did.
So I'm just playing this game for the first time and I'm gonna install some mods when I'm done with the original game. It runs great on my set up with 4xS AntiAliasing and 8x AnisotropicFiltering.
See my specs in the sig.

Or alternatively just type in coder into the dev console.

Takedown is such a useful move

The Dojo is the second option, 'Kung-Fu Introduction'.

I couldn't get the movie codec for the intro movie so I just converted it to DivX instead Really cool mod.
