not a fight but a poll "Rune Vs. Counter strike"

this is the situation, we have been aloud to play games on the network at our school(after school for a little while) we ( a bunch of ppl that show up and play) used to play rune and recently my friend decided that we were going to play Counter strike. I was wonder which you would all wather play. (this on a sever) I don't think rune is going to win though.

Exactly why CS is gonna win. Rune is a Third person action / adventure with a Norse theme using the Unreal engine.

CS is a better multiplayer game. But Rune's singleplayer mode rules. It has better Graphic, Story, Characters and Sound. Also - great gameplay. And CS doesn't even have a SP mode. hard to compare, not a good poll, i guess.

Well, I haven't seen RUNE for PC, yet, but I know the PS2 version, which looks like Nintendo64, runs as fluidly as a PSOne, has loading times like a Commodore 64 and has the crappiest gameplay I've ever experienced

Well, the only pro I can see is the Split-Screen mode, but I would still prefer CS...

The problem with this poll is that you are pitting two different genres and on top of that one is a regular game while the other is one of the favorites about most of the PC gamers who like FPS...

I just like the consept of rune, I guess I am just not a FPS Kinda person, and rune runs fairly well over our sever so it really fun.

rune was a fun game online, too bad it never made it big. could you live after losing both your arms? i don't think you could...
but compared to CS, i don't think i could play rune as long in one sitting.

CS isn't that great either... it can tire you after 4-6 hours of gameplay... replaying the same level 4-5 times is quite tedious... and the missions are so limitated... rescue the hostages, disarm the bomb, escort the VIP...

I don't like either, but the numb of people who love CS heavily outnubers those that love Rune.

I won't lie... if I play the game once in a month I have a good time with it... but only once in a month and no more than 3-4 hours... seriously it can tire you faster than what anyone can think...

Yea..i dont play CS that often...nor do i rune...i mainly play CS mods...just because there are so many...dont really ever get old to me...

Team Fortress is a bit better than CS... I would like to see CS 2 to provide more variation on the game modes...

I doubt that it's beaten on any country... that game is almost a legend when it comes to semi-tactical FPSs... in my country ppl still play it wildly on weekends...

well in ours, the likes of Quake and Renegade stir only a few people but die down... I don't know about this Rune coz I haven't seen one here (means its unpopular as of the moment)

Rune is quite unpopular... the game didn't appeal too much to the gamers... it had its own merits, but as you can see in this thread there are those that don't even know the game... in my country only a few know about that game, and of course I've never seen the game on a LAN place...
